I started my first blog when I started college in 2001. I think it was called “Quiche of the Day.” Eventually I moved it from blogspot to my school’s webservers. It’s actually still there, amazingly.

When I spent a summer at Mount Rushmore I participated in a group blog that eventually became the second issue of the literary journal Gabbo, which Paul Traska and I founded. My posts from that project are archived here, and you can also see the whole thing at the Gabbo website.

Because I couldn’t access my college’s server when I studied abroad in Spain in 2004, I started another blogspot blog to document my European adventures.

When I came back to California I began yet another new blog, which I think was supposed to represent a new transition in my life? Or something? I don’t really remember. My buddy Ed actually named his band’s first album “Slow Season” after that blog’s web address.

I have tried to start a number of different, more focused weblogs over the years, and most of those have been incorporated here as well. I’m not sure why I kept switching stuff up, but I’m glad to finally have it all under one roof.
